The Immaculate Heart of Mary was originally commissioned as a reminder piece for consecration to Mary. We have made it available for all as a consecration reminder, or as a reminder of her infinite, motherly love. The sword pierces the heart at the same angle at which Christ's heart was pierced and broken as he hung on the cross. This one sorrow is represented because it is through the Immaculate Heart of Mary that we are brought to Jesus through Mary. Her heart is on fire and strategically sculpted with a number of perfectly flat mirror surfaces to accomplish chiaroscuro and catch light at different angles. Her heart is surrounded by 12 stars, which is our signature "Crown of Mary." These are artistic choices our studio made in accordance with sacred scripture.
