I'm a scientifically educated layman, and for me, this book was pretty much perfect - reasonably priced for a text, covered all aspects of treating HF ( but next to nothing on the causes - the only weakness I've noted thus far), and covers each topic at a level that is intelligible and educating but not exhausting. Although each chapter is written by different MDs, the editors seem to have done a good job of imposing consistency. This text is likely too superficial for many academic cardiologists.
